Luyan Emfinger, MS, MSN, PMHNP-BC

Luyan Emfinger is a psychiatric nurse practitioner with 10+ years of experience in mental health. She received her undergraduate degree in anthropology and biology from Vanderbilt University. She completed a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lipscomb University and earned her Masters of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University. She completed an integrative psychiatry fellowship in 2022 through the Integrative Psychiatry Institute. Luyan’s professional career has been in community mental health and outpatient care. She utilizes psychotropic medications, nutraceuticals (herbs and supplements) and brief psychotherapy to care for her patients.

Luyan has lived in the Nashville area since 2004. She and her husband, William, live in Nashville with their dog, two cats and daughter. They are big nerds and love all things science and sci-fi. She is also a foodie and loves Nashville’s great culinary scene. In her spare time, Luyan enjoys spending time with her family, pets, traveling, rock climbing, hiking, being outdoors, cooking, drawing, painting and eating great food.
